A score is not a certification and not an accusation; it summarizes what the public record shows, and every signal is explained on how we work.
Origin and quality claims in the hair market go largely unpoliced — the FTC only finalized its rule banning fake reviews and testimonials in 2024 — which is why we score sellers on observable evidence rather than marketing copy.

Does the storefront’s registered country still match the origin the listings claim — a Chennai storefront behind a “raw Indian” bundle reads very differently from a mismatch. Has the review pattern shifted since your last order. Is the price still in line with the market, or suspiciously below it. And note that the seller Q&A signal shows “unavailable” on most listings we track simply because most listings have no Q&A — an absent signal is not a red flag by itself.
Marketplace sellers are not static. Listings appear and disappear, origin claims get edited, ratings drift, and storefront details change. Inches re-checks the public record behind each vendor, so the listing counts and scores here reflect current data — not a snapshot from the day you saved.
